What personal data do we collect?

If you are a customer or supplier, we only collect personal data when you decide to communicate identification data to us: we collect name and contact information and possibly your position within your company. Further, we collect the contents of each communication so long as this is necessary for providing our services to you.
If you appear in word or image in our promotional clips or promotional material made at the customer´s order, we process only those data that you yourself communicate to us: your name, position, your vision about the company, etc.

You can visit our website without communicating any personal data. In that case, however, it is possible that certain data are collected via Cookies, for example in order to record the language in which you consult the website.

Our website uses functional cookies. Cookies are small information files that are automatically stored on the hard disk of your computer. Cookies enable the website to be used more quickly and efficiently. They cannot harm your computer or the files stored on it.

How long are personal data retained?

We keep personal data for as long as is necessary in order to offer you our services or for other essential purposes, such as compliance with our statutory obligations. The data are removed 10 years after the end of any collaboration or after the last contact between us, except in the event of an ongoing dispute. The promotional material and campaigns are kept for as long as the company exists.

What are your rights?

In accordance with the Belgian Privacy Act and the General Data Protection Regulation, you can exercise the right to access and correct your data at any time. Furthermore, you can file a request to have data deleted at any time and in accordance with the data protection regulations. If the processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent – in whole or part – at any time. However, that may have as a consequence that we will no longer be able to provide our services.

All of this can be done by sending a request with an attached copy of your identity card to privacy@madaboutyou.eu or by letter to the address of the headquarters. In accordance with such a request, we will make no further use of your personal data and we will only continue to retain them in so far as and to the extent that this should be necessary for the fulfilment of a statutory obligation or the pursuit of a legitimate interest.
